I bought these speakers to use in my tent camper -- needed something small but good quality. I got both features in this set. Sound and volume were great. I used them with ac power, so not sure how long the batteries will last. My only issue was with the cords - at first they seemed awkward to use and store. But I soon got the hang of it. One additional thing would make this product a 6-star winner -- it needs a case for transport.

Cord leading into the speakers is shot you have to play with it for a good ten min so it works, and then that lasts only 10 min before the sound is gone again. I got these as a gift and I feel bad that the person paid for such a shoddy product, but I did get an excellent 2 month use out of it, for what that counts :(

It was great until it broke in less than a month! The right speaker just quit working in the middle of a song!
