We are transitioning our cats to a raw diet and, while most of them are now eating raw meat without any problems, organs are hard to come by around here and they still don't know what to do with bone-in meat. Two of the cats are quite reluctant to eat any meat at all so they are primarily on grain-free canned foods. I've been worried about them getting enough of the vitamins, etc that they need and that ideally they would be getting from bones and organ meats; I've tried powdered supplements but the cats don't like that stuff mixed up in their food. So I purchased a small bottle of Nu-Cat vitamins as an experiment and am happy to report that even my pickiest cat eats them like candy. In fact it's hard to limit each cat to only two twice a day--at vitamin time it's a real feeding frenzy. I am very happy to have found something my cats will eat and that is much less complicated and messy than adding powdered supplements to their food. I will be buying a bigger bottle soon.

I give my cats NuCat vitamins to ensure that they receive sufficient levels of vitamins and minerals for optimal health. Just like for humans, a vitamin supplement is not a substitute for a healthy diet. My cats think these vitamins are delicious treats.
Most cat vitamins contain grain-derived fillers, artificial flavors and sometimes herbs which can even be harmful to cats -eg alfalfa and garlic are toxic to cats, but many supplements include these! I approve of the NuCat formula, flavored with real liver powder (tablets have beef liver and chews have chicken liver) and free of herbs.
One of our cats prefers the tablets and the other 2 prefer the chews, so we order both forms of NuCat.

I never thought that I would see my cat swallowing pills, not just voluntarily, but paws me to get more! The first time I opened up this bottle, he immediately went over to sniff it, and after I gave him one tablet, he wanted more! I looked at the label, besides all the goodies it contains, the manufacturer used dehydrated beef liver to "bait" the cat. The product also advertised that it has New Zealand Green mussel. Not sure why cats need green mussel, but this product does contains all sorts of essential vitamins, minerals, and taurine (an amino acid for healthy eyesight that cats can't synthesize themselves). I give 4 tablets (divided between AM and PM) to my adult cat each day, the same dosage that was suggested by the manufacturer. I did notice that my cat is more active and playful, but it could be due to the fact that he lost weight (he was obese before), and is on a healthy diet now.
